SUK - Matching and marketplace platform managed by AI4I
REGULATION
AI4I activates a dedicated platform, called “System User Knowledge” or “SUK”, where supply and demand for technological solutions and industrial applications based on artificial intelligence can meet. It operates through a software interface accessible to accredited users.
The membership methods for companies interested in using the platform are defined in the following paragraphs and are distinguished between producing companies or “producers”, active in the offer of solutions and user companies or “users”, active in the demand for solutions.
The platform, in particular, allows “producer” companies to give visibility to their industrial applications based on artificial intelligence and to get in touch with potential customers; allows “user” companies to identify solutions that meet their needs, also taking advantage of the support of AI4I as guidance in defining needs. The identification of solutions occurs through a specific matching algorithm.
The “producer” companies interested in being present on the platform are selected based on the possession of specific requirements in terms of budget, areas of activity, evidence of applications already developed, indicated in the dedicated section of the platform. The applications of the interested companies are evaluated by a specific structure of the Foundation, which, during the investigation, can interact with the interested parties in order to acquire the necessary information elements. The decision is in any case adopted at the sole discretion of the Foundation.
Following a positive evaluation, a contract is signed that defines the terms of use of the platform, with particular regard to the economic conditions, duration, activities and related benefits, without prejudice to the provisions of paragraph 7.
The "user" companies that intend to access the platform fill out a specific application, in order to sign a contract that defines the terms of use, with particular regard to the economic conditions, duration, activities and related benefits, without prejudice to the provisions of paragraph 7. The user company can also activate the so-called "challenges" and invite the manufacturing companies to submit proposals for applications in response to specific innovative questions, defining the acceptance methods and the conditions for rewarding the proposals deemed suitable. These questions are published after evaluation by the appropriate structure of the Foundation.
The use of the platform by companies, both "producers" and "users", involves the payment of an annual fee, according to the specifications that will be published on the platform, with the exception of the first twelve months from the launch of the platform, for which access is free. Consequently, in the same period, the signing of a contract is not required, but only the acceptance of the conditions of use of the platform. In any case, the use of the platform entails the authorization to publish data relating to companies, proposed or sought solutions, and the so-called challenges.
In addition to the services included in the annual fee, summarised in paragraph 3, companies will be able to take advantage of additional services, provided by AI4I, in the areas of training and orientation, promotion, technical support in the area of computing capacity, according to the conditions established in the contracts referred to in paragraphs 5 and 6.
The algorithm that intervenes in the matching phase between a "demand side" need and a "supply side" solution takes into account qualitative parameters that vary over time, including the success rate determined by the commercial transactions defined by the companies: to this end, companies are required to promptly communicate the necessary information to AI4I, through the appropriate channels.
